At Island Preacha Weddings, discretion and respect are fundamental values. Your  privacy is important to us, so the following policy outlines how we treat visitors to our site. As a destination wedding ceremony provider, much of our work is handled virtually. We want you to have confidence about every aspect of the information shared with us.

 

This website, www.islandpreacha.com, (“Website”) is owned and operated by Island Preacha Weddings (“Company,” “we”, “our”). By accessing this Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies, you may choose to not use our Website.

 

Our Privacy Policy clearly outlines how we use the personal information provided to us via the Website, including webmail, forms, electronic messages. This Policy does not apply to information collected by us offline, or via a website operated by another Company or third party. 

 

If we update or change our Privacy Policy, we will announce the change prior to implementation by email, or by direct notice on our website. We encourage new clients and partners to periodically review our policies for updates. 


 

TERMS OF USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

We collect certain personal information in order to offer a customized web experience, and to plan a seamless destination wedding ceremony. 

 

We do not collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have acquired data from someone under 18, please contact us and we will attempt to delete any personal data they have shared.

BROWSING

 

Web browsing involves the exchange of information between your computer and ours. Our server notes basic data including your IP address, when you visit, your type of browser and operating system, and web pages via which you entered and exited our site.

 

We may gather this information in order to:

 

  • troubleshoot technical issues

  • track and fulfill orders

  • streamline our customer website experience and workflow

  • present information about our products and services 

  • fulfil our obligations as a service provider

  • enforce our rights outlined in any contracts between you and us, including billing and collection

  • notify you of changes to our website

 

The data collected will be stored until the expiration of your contract, including  payment in full for all services and any additional charges.


 

ORDERS

 

In order to process your order, we collect the following personal information:

 

  • Contact information including the names of the couple requesting a ceremony, your postal and email addresses, and your phone numbers

  • Billing information, including a credit card number and billing address

  • For legal weddings, we collect travel information in order to coordinate a pre marriage interview with the local Registry Office

  • Basic information about your ceremony preferences.

 

Online payments processed via PayPal, Apple Pay, Direct Debit, or Bank of The Bahamas (for credit card transactions) are handled entirely by third-party data collection.  


 

CONTACT FORMS

 

To respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your ceremony, we collect the personal information provided in your contact form, including your phone numbers, email, and postal addresses. 

 

You may not opt out of receiving email or phone calls from us until the conclusion of your ceremony and delivery of your certified government documents.

  • To register your legal ceremony, to process certification of your legal marriage documents with government agencies, and to deliver your legal documents by courier

  • To our employees, affiliates and subcontractors, in connection with service provision and fulfilment of our contract

  • To work with your wedding planner, destination coordinator, or other contractors and service providers

  • To fulfill any purpose for which you have provided the information

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including a government or regulatory request

 

 PERSONAL DATA

 

The Administrator of your personal data is Island Preacha Weddings, 17 Treasure Street, Little Blair, Nassau, Bahamas.

 

You have the following rights governing how we process your personal data:

 

  • The right to access, amend, transfer, remove, restrict processing of your personal data

  • The right to withdraw consent to process personal data for a specific purpose

  • The right to bring a complaint to a supervisory authority in connection with processing your personal data

 

We have the right to retain personal data legitimately required to process your order and fulfill your contract, until we have completely satisfied our contractual agreement.

 

We entrust personal processing of your data to the following third-party entities, which may transfer personal data to another country:

 

  • WIX - to operate the website

  • GMAIL - to communicate, plan, and deliver information about your ceremony

  • GOOGLE ANALYTICS - to process web analytics

  • GOOGLE REVIEWS - to collect and post Google Reviews on our site

  • QUICKBOOKS - to provide external accounting services

  • PAYPAL and APPLE PAY - for third party payment processing

  • BANK OF THE BAHAMAS - for third party credit card processing

  • YOUR BANK - for third party, direct debit processing or wire transfers


 

SECURITY

 

We follow general industry standards to protect your personal data, during transmission and once we have received it. However no method of transmission via Internet or digital storage is completely secure, therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

 

In the event of a data breach, we will notify you within 72 hours.
